Day 1: The 12 Days of Quick Christmas Crafts

Looking for easy handmade craft ideas for the holidays? Between now and Christmas, I’ll be posting 12 simple craft ideas to help you stuff some stockings.

Day 1: Refrigerator Magnets.

Make simple magnets from flat-backed glass pieces found in the floral section of the craft store (The Bel Air Michaels Craft store carries them).

Use a decoupage glue like Mod Podge to glue pretty pieces of scrap paper to the back.  (Junk mail is an excellent source for that!)  You can even draw on the paper before gluing it to the back of the glass. 

Let the Mod Podge dry. Then, glue on a magnet with any strong adhesive such as Weldbond and you're done!

For extra sparkle, use tin foil or glitter along with the scrap paper.
