Brian Ward, 45, Of Joppa

It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Ward of Joppa announces his sudden and unexpected passing on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at the age of 45 years.

Brian was the son of Eva “Sue” McHenry and Larry Neil Ward. He is survived by his wife Christina “Kippy” Ward and their two loving sons Vincent Ward and Dominick Ward.

Brian will also be remembered by his sister Kelly Rizzi and his nieces and nephews Lindsay Rizzi, Brooke and Luke Kunath and Brooks Beatty. Brian had a host of loving friends and was a huge part of his community serving as a little league baseball coach from T-ball through 12U, as well as a football coach for several years. Brian loved sports and sharing his time helping, teaching and being a part of the growth of the children he coached in his community. He was a huge Orioles fan and a lifelong Chicago Bears fan.

Brian worked in the healthcare industry as business analyst and project manager for the Medicare program for many years.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at McComas Funeral Home, P.A. (Abingdon), 1317 Cokesbury Road Abingdon, MD 21009. There will be a funeral service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road, Abingdon, MD 21009.
