Bridge Over Deer Creek Closed For Debris Removal

Traffic will be detoured around the bridge along MD 161/Darlington Road this week, according to the State Highway Administration.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The bridge over Deer Creek along MD 161/Darlington Road will be closed during business hours this week.

Crews will use a crane to remove tree limbs and debris underneath the bridge, which is north of Deer Creek Road, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 2, to Friday, Aug. 6.

A detour will be in effect along Darlington Road between US 1/Conowingo Road and MD 155/Level Road, officials say. The detour includes Conowingo Road, MD 136/Priestford Road and Level Road.

Local traffic only will be able to access either side of the bridge, transportation officials advised.

The work is expected to be finished by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6.
