Brush Fire Reported Near Train Tracks in Harford
Fire officials said smoke may be visible in the Edgewood area.

EDGEWOOD, MD – Firefighters battled a brush fire near the train tracks in the Edgewood area Tuesday afternoon, officials say.
Smoke may be visible along parts of MD 24, US 40 and MD 7, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which was working with Abingdon Fire Company to fight the blaze.
The firefighting operations were located in the area of Westshore Drive and US 40, Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association spokesman Richard Gardiner told Patch shortly before 3 p.m.

By 3:30 p.m., Gardiner said the fire was out.
