Building Fire At Mountain Branch Golf Club Under Investigation

Many area fire companies were called to assist with the response because there were reportedly no fire hydrants near the scene.

JOPPA, MD — Authorities said a building fire on Mountain Road drew a host of first responders to the area Sunday evening.

Fire was showing from the cupola and inside the two-story building at Mountain Branch Golf Club in the 1800 block of Mountain Road when crews arrived around 5:45 p.m., the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported.

There were no fire hydrants, so crews from Abingdon, APG, Bel Air, Fallston, Kingsville and Level were called in to assist, officials said.
