St. Matthew Preschool

As a ministry of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, we aim to provide excellence in education and to share God's love with young children and their families. The preschool at St. Matthew Lutheran Church began in 1972 as a co-operative nursery school with a firm commitment to helping each student reach their unique potential intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. After over forty years of service to the community, we remain dedicated to providing excellence in education and faith formation in a safe, nurturing Christian environment. We maintain the strong partnership between the family and school as a top priority. We continue to strive to provide what is best for children developmentally and academically to best prepare our students for the next stage in their growth. We remain committed to the ideal that “play is the work of childhood” and that is how children learn best.

St. Matthew Preschool is a licensed facility through the Maryland State Department of Education License #75043 and we participate in the Maryland Excels program. We offer educational programs for children ages 2, 3, and 4 year old children, as well as Kindergarten Prep and opportunities to extend the day are available.
