Driver Trapped At Upper Chesapeake, Bel Air FFs Come To Rescue
A vehicle landed in a precarious position on the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center campus Wednesday morning in Bel Air.
BEL AIR, MD — A driver was helped out of a vehicle Wednesday morning by the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. The vehicle had gone off the road around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, on the campus of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, according to Rich Gardiner of the fire company.
While the driver was unharmed, Gardiner said the vehicle was situated between a curb and embankment in such a way that it was impossible to get out from the car in the 500 block of Upper Chesapeake Drive.
The Bel Air firefighters used their expertise to stabilize the vehicle with a cable and chains so the driver could get out safely, according to Gardiner.
