Car Torched In Edgewood, Arson Investigation Underway: Officials

A car was set on fire behind the Home Depot in Edgewood over the weekend, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — After a Jaguar was torched behind the Home Depot on Route 40 in Harford County over the weekend, investigators have determined the fire was intentionally set. Now the fire marshal is asking for tips in the arson case.

A passerby reported the fire at 8:11 p.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of Pulaski Highway, behind Home Depot. Within 10 minutes, officials said nine firefighters from the Abingdon Fire Company had snuffed out the flames.

Investigators determined the blaze began in the interior passenger compartment of the 2011 Jaguar and was intentional. The estimated loss was $50,000.
