Carroll County 911 Center Service Interrupted

The Carroll County 911 center is operational now but for 30 to 60 minutes on July 4, people could not connect with emergency dispatchers, according to a statement from Carroll County government.

The cause was an equipment failure, the statement said.

“Emergency Communications personnel reacted quickly to determine the cause of the outages, institute backup procedures and restore service,” according to officials.

As of 7:18 p.m., authorities reported: “All services are now restored and fully operational.”
