Charles Robert Rodefer, 76, of Bel Air

Charles Robert Rodefer, 76, of Bel Air, passed away on Dec. 8, 2015, at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Forest Hill.

Born in Bel Air, he was the son of the late Charles Reginald Rodefer and Beulah Laura (May) Rodefer. A resident of Bel Air his whole life, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned and operated a lawn care service and loved working for many people taking care of their lawns in Harford and Cecil County, as well as, in Pennsylvania. In his younger years, he worked at Bel Air Lumber with his family. He was a people person and loved cars and watching NASCAR.

Mr. Rodefer is survived by his sisters, Jane Louise Zehl of Bel Air and Margaret Lee Leftridge of Edgewood; and eight nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, David Henry Rodefer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 8219 Town Center Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, and 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, at McComas Funeral Home, 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, at McComas Funeral Home, 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air.
