Chatime Opens In Bel Air Town Center

A new business is open in Bel Air with drinks brewed by trained "tearistas."

BEL AIR, MD — A new business in Bel Air Town Center recently celebrated its summer opening.

Chatime held a ribbon cutting with local officials Friday, July 30.

"Owner Tracy Nguyen had a wonderful turnout for the event and has a great following already!" Angela Robertson, Bel Air's economic development coordinator, said in a statement.

At the ribbon cutting, Nguyen was joined by Town Commissioners Erin Hughes, Kevin Bianca and Donna Kahoe.

Chatime serves bubble tea, milk teas, fruit teas, juices and smoothies as well as bakery items. The menu includes a Trained "tearistas" brew each drink.

On the menu are items like jasmine green milk tea, pearl milk tea, Hawaiian fruit tea, peach black tea, strawberry banana smoothie, pineapple slush, matcha tea latte, earl gray mousse, oolong tea, honeydew juice and sticky rice lotus leaf wraps.

"Cha" means "tea" in Taiwan, where the Chatime franchise was founded. It now has more than 1,000 stores worldwide, from China to the United States.

There are two other Chatime locations in the region in Maryland — on The Avenue at White Marsh and on Light Street in Federal Hill in Baltimore.

Chatime Bel Air is at 512 Baltimore Pike in the Bel Air Town Center, in a corner suite near Popeyes.
