A 2-year-old boy was injured and his babysitter has been charged after those at Upper Chesapeake reportedly sounded the alarm.

YORK COUNTY, PA — Concern from medical personnel at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air led to an investigation into suspected child abuse in Pennsylvania that resulted in charges. A 30-year-old man has been arrested after he was babysitting a child at the time the boy was believed to have been injured.

Matthew Paul Icendrode, of the 15000 block of Maddox Road in the Stewartstown area of Pennsylvania, has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and child endangerment, according to Fox 43, the Fox affiliate out of York, Pa.

The 2-year-old boy whom Icendrode watched on Feb. 28 sustained bruises, cuts and a suspected burn mark after the man watching him said the child "fussed" when his Doritos were taken away, the York Daily Record reported.
