Child Burned in Abingdon, Officials Say

Abingdon, MD — A child burned by hot water is being taken to the hospital by helicopter Thursday afternoon, according to officials.

The victim experienced contact with hot water in the 3200 block of Rock Creek Court, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

The Abingdon Fire Company responded, and the victim is being airlifted to a regional burn center, Chenworth said.
