Christmas In The Woods Opens for the Holiday.

The start of the Christmas season is off to an exciting start with the opening of the 2015 version of Christmas In The Woods, showcase of handcrafts, decorations, gifts and much more from over 75 crafters in a new, larger location in Bel Air.

After seven years at Rockfield Manor Park, Christmas In The Woods has moved to larger facilities and more convenient parking in Bel Air Town Center at the intersection of Route 24 and Baltimore Pike behind Chili’s restaurant.

“We loved the Manor House but our new location allows us to better display our crafters all one floor,” said Mary Koehler,owner and show manager. “This location has parking right in front of the store and there is plenty of room inside to display our offerings.”

And offerings there are. From handcrafted Christmas decorations to jewelry, children’s accessories and toys, collectibles and Victorian and country items, there is something for everyone.

For home décor, there are decorative wreaths, tree ornaments, wall hangings and pictures.  Wine lovers will find a beautiful selection of gift items with a wine motif. Toys and doll dresses for children, clothing accessories for mom, and memorabilia for Ravens and Orioles fans. And there are candies and beautiful jewelry for everyone.

Christmas In The Woods has been a staple for the region for over 37 years, having begun in several locations in Baltimore County, before moving to Bel Air seven years ago.

“We’ve build up a loyal customer base over the years and they come from all over the metropolitan region to start their Christmas season,” Mrs. Koehler said. “They know they will find something unique and different from the commercial stores when they visit our show. It’s a good way to get that good feeling of Christmas.”
