Churchville Garage Fire Caused $150K in Damage: Fire Marshal
The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a fire at an auto business in Harford County.

CHURCHVILLE, MD – A commercial building blaze at Superior Motors this week left $150,000 in damages and is currently under investigation, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby reported the fire in the 2800 block of Churchville Road at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, drawing approximately 30 firefighters to respond to the one-alarm blaze, the fire marshal said.
Within 45 minutes, officials reported the fire had been brought under control.

Investigators said the fire started in an interior garage bay at the business. However, what caused the fire remains under investigation, according to the fire marshal.
There was $100,000 in structural damage, according to the fire marshal, who said that $50,000 worth of items inside the business were also lost.

Several vehicles were inside the business when firefighters put out the blaze, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
