Churchville House Fire Injures One: Fire Marshal
Blaze also caused $150K in damage, the Office of the State Fire Marshal reported.

Victims of a Churchville house fire that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday were being assisted by disaster relief officials, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
At 3:22 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, a resident in a home in the 3000 block of Whitefield Road discovered the fire,the fire marshal reported.
Improperly discarded smoking materials caused the blaze, which began in the basement of the two-story home, according to the fire marshal.

Approximately 25 firefighters from Bel Air and Level responded and within 20 minutes, the fire marshal reported the blaze was placed under control.
A man was taken to Harford Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation, while two other residents refused medical treatment at the scene, according to the fire marshal.

There was approximately $100,000 in structural damage from the blaze, and $50,000 worth of items inside were lost as well, the fire marshal reported.
The Harford County disaster team and Red Cross were assisting the victims in the aftermath of the fire, according to the report.
