Cooling Centers Open Across Harford County July 9-10

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Cooling centers will be opening across Harford County July 9-10 as the heat index shoots past 105 degrees.

The following library branches will serve as cooling centers Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

Aberdeen – 21 Franklin Street

Abingdon – 2510 Tollgate Road

Bel Air – 100 E. Pennsylvania Avenue

Darlington – 3535 Conowingo Road

Edgewood – 629 Edgewood Road

Fallston – 1461 Fallston Road

Havre de Grace – 120 N. Union Avenue

Jarrettsville – 3722 Norrisville Road

Joppa – 655 Towne Center Drive

Whiteford – 2407 Whiteford Road

The cooling centers also can be used to charge electronic devices in the event of a power outage, including oxygen concentrators used by oxygen-dependent citizens, county officials said.
