Corey K. Guthrie, 28, of Bel Air

On Aug. 29, 2016, Corey K. Guthrie, 28, of Bel Air; beloved son of Guy & Kathleen Guthrie; devoted brother of Dylan Guthrie; loving grandson of Theresa M. LaPlume of Abingdon, Jerry Guthrie of Ormond Beach, FL; great grandson of Vernelle Bellon; nephew of Pat LaPlume Liberatore, James E. LaPlume, Jr. and his wife Kimberlee, Denise Leuschel, Sandra Farkas and her husband Tom; also survived by many cousins, family members and friends. He was predeceased by grandparents James E. LaPlume and Gail L. Guthrie.

Corey’s smile could light up a room. He loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed golf, baseball and his Baltimore Ravens. His car was his pride and joy. He liked to show his skills in the kitchen by cooking for his family. He had much pride in his career as a Mechanical Engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground and in graduating with degrees from the University of Maryland and Frostburg State University. He is so loved and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life and mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Saturday Sept. 3, at noon, and guests will be received after at a luncheon in the Parish Hall. Interment: Private.
