8-Mile Backups Followed Crash on I-95 in Harford: MDTA

At least one person was reportedly trapped Tuesday in crash on Interstate 95 in Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – A crash on Interstate 95 snarled traffic Tuesday evening north of Joppa.

Just before 4:30 p.m., several vehicles collided on I-95 north past the exit for MD 152/Mountain Road, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART). The left two lanes were closed for cleanup.

At least one person was trapped as a result of the crash, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

By 6 p.m., the crash had cleared, but there was an 8-mile backup, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported.

As of 6:30 p.m., traffic was flowing normally.
