Bel Air Bypass Crash Clears After Temporary Closure: SHA
A crash shut down part of the Bel Air Bypass Monday night, according to the State Highway Administration.
BEL AIR, MD — US 1 south was closed at Rock Spring Road due to a crash Monday night, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration. Authorities said four vehicles were involved and at least one person was injured.
At least one person was reportedly trapped when emergency personnel were called to the Bel Air Bypass at the Vale Road overpass.
Following the rescue, the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association reported two people were being evaluated for injuries after 5:45 p.m.

Although US 1 south was closed, officials said northbound lanes on US 1/Bel Air Bypass remained open.
By 7:30 p.m., the State Highway Administration reported the crash had cleared.
