Medevac Called After I-95 Guardrail Crash: JMVFC

A crash on Interstate 95 north Friday evening in Harford County seriously injured a woman, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company says.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — One person was hospitalized after a vehicle went over the guardrail on Interstate 95 in Harford County Friday evening, officials say. A helicopter transported the victim to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

At 5:35 p.m., the car crashed on Interstate 95 north before the exit for MD 24, transportation officials said.

The two right lanes and right shoulder were closed on I-95 north before MD 24 to allow for first responders to clear the scene.

The car had rolled over the guardrail and landed with its wheels down, the fire company reported.

A woman was seriously injured, according to Joppa-Magnolia, which reported the medevac landed at the fire company's helipad.

Maryland State Police officials were reportedly investigating the crash.
