'Major Delays' on I-95 Near White Marsh: MDTA

Commuters headed north on I-95 in the White Marsh area should consider alternate routes, Maryland Transportation Authority advises.

Drivers heading north on Interstate 95 are experiencing delays Monday evening due to a crash near White Marsh.

A four-vehicle crash was reported on I-95 north past the exit for MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard shortly after 5 p.m., transportation officials reported.

Emergency medical services personnel were reportedly dispatched to the scene, where three lanes were temporarily closed for cleanup.

There was a 7.5-mile backup in the area by 6 p.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority, which reported the left lane and left shoulder remained closed while the rest had reopened.

Due to “major delays” in the area, officials suggested MD 7 and US 40 as alternate routes.
