Crash Into Pole On Route 22 Snarls Traffic: Official

Drivers may want to take alternate routes if headed this direction Tuesday night in the Churchville area.

CHURCHVILLE, MD — Authorities say traffic is building after a crash on Route 22. A vehicle ran into a utility pole Tuesday night, according to officials.

At 6:15 p.m., firefighters and emergency medical personnel were called to MD 22/Churchville Road, where a vehicle crashed into a utility pole, said Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

While the damage was limited to property, Gardiner said traffic was backed up in the area; he advised drivers to take alternate routes if possible.
