Crash Shut Down MD 24 at Interstate 95, Officials Say

The collision reportedly involved a motorcyclist.

All lanes of MD 24 are closed at Interstate 95 due to a crash Sunday afternoon, according to transportation officials.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at 3:26 p.m. on Sunday, the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART) reported.

The crash involved a motorcyclist, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

As of 3:55 p.m., all lanes of MD 24 remained closed in the area, according to CHART.

One person in critical condition was flown to a regional trauma center as a result of the crash, said Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Maryland State Police used the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company’s helipad as a landing site, according to the fire company, which advised drivers looking to get onto MD 24 to instead take the exit for MD 924.
