Crews Battle House Fire in Edgewood
The blaze was brought under control before noon on Monday.

Crews battled a house fire in Edgewood Monday morning, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. Officials said nobody was injured in the blaze but seven people were displaced as a result.
At 11:25 a.m., the Abingdon Fire Company responded to the 2200 block of Rosewood Drive, where a fire alarm had activated, the association reported.
A passerby also noticed smoke coming from the basement, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Abingdon called for additional personnel at 11:33 a.m., so Bel Air, Joppa-Magnolia and APG firefighters responded to assist at the single-family home, the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association said.
Approximately 50 firefighters responded, the Office of the State Fire Marshal reported.

By 11:43 a.m., the fire was declared under control, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
A mechanical failure within a coffee maker caused the fire to begin in the basement, the fire marshal reported. The fire was contained to the basement, according to the report.
Four adults and three children living in the home were displaced, the report said.
The fire caused approximately $25,000 in damage to the home and $25,000 worth of contents inside were lost as well, the fire marshal reported.
