Darlington Independence Day Celebration 2018: Parade, Fireworks

The Darlington Independence Day Celebration will include a parade and fireworks show in Francis Silver Park.

DARLINGTON, MD — The Fourth of July starts early in Darlington. The Darlington Independence Day Celebration will kick off on Saturday, June 30.

The festivities include a parade followed by fireworks. Food will be for sale.

Here is the schedule for the Darlington Independence Day Celebration 2018:

  • 4 p.m.: Parade lineup at at Route 1 weigh station
  • 5:30 p.m.: Parade from Main Street to Shuresville Road to Francis Silver Park
  • 9:15 p.m.: Fireworks at Francis Silver Park, 2124 Shuresville Road

Entertainment and kid-friendly contests will be happening in Francis Silver Park following the parade, organizers say.

Harford County officials advise these roads will be closed from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30:

Castleton Road will be closed from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, between Darlington Volunteer Fire Company and MD 161.

Main Street/MD 161 will be closed between Castleton Road and Shuresville Road from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30.

Shuresville Road between MD 161 and Francis Silver Park) will be closed beginning at 5:30 p.m. for approximately 2 hours due to the parade.

The Bel Air Fourth of July happenings are slated for Wednesday, July 4.
