Della Rose's Local Tavern to Open Where Half Pints Used to Be
A restaurant is coming to Bel Air, expanding from its White Marsh location.

BEL AIR, MD — Della Rose's Local Tavern will be opening in Bel Air in the space where Half Pints used to be.
Nearly seven years after it opened, Half Pints Pub shuttered in late December. The pub held a farewell party so customers could say goodbye on Dec. 23 before the business closed — temporarily.
The plan to close entailed "some renovations, improvements, and reopening under a new brand and new name...exciting times!" Half Pints posted on its Facebook page before Christmas.

The new name will be Della Rose's Local Tavern, according to the Harford County Liquor Control Board, which is handling the liquor license for the location off MD 22 at 1204 Agora Drive in Bel Air.
Della Rose's started as a neighborhood tavern that became known for its food in east Baltimore in 1944. The business moved to Overlea in 1961 and then White Marsh in 1998, according to the restaurant's history. A location in Canton was open for a handful of years but reportedly closed in 2012 due to lack of foot traffic.

Currently, renovations are underway at the Bel Air restaurant, expected to open in the coming weeks, according to The Aegis, which reports it is closer to home for owner Tony Della Rose, who has lived in Forest Hill for a dozen years.
