Did you know dentists can treat sleep apnea? We are local dentists and we use oral appliance therapy to help patients manage their snoring and sleep apnea.
Oral appliances resemble a sports mouth guard, and they are an effective alternative treatment to the continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine and mask that is traditionally prescribed. My patients prefer oral appliances because they are comfortable, easy to wear, quiet, portable and easy to care for.
We would love to set up a time to talk with you further about the growing practice of dental sleep medicine and our experience treating Bel Air residents’ sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy.
