Dog Park Temporarily Closes In Bel Air For Improvements
The small dog section of the Ma and Pa Dog Park in Bel Air will be closed for approximately two weeks for a shade structure to be installed.
BEL AIR, MD — Starting Monday, the small dog area of the Ma and Pa Dog Park in Bel Air will be closed for approximately two weeks.
The dog park is a fully fenced, off-leash dog park located at Heavenly Waters Park at 703 North Tollgate Road in Bel Air. It's just beyond the end of the Bel Air Trail, which is part of the Ma and Pa Heritage Trail.
County officials said that they will be installing a shade structure on that side of the dog park and the large dog side of the park won't be impacted.

A playground vendor who works with the Harford County Department of Parks and Recreation contacted officials and offered a shade structure that wasn't used on a project in another county. The installation will be completed at a discounted price, county officials said.
The dog park opened in February 2023 with sod and synthetic turf surfacing, a gazebo, play and agility equipment, as well as water fountains.
