Doxie Fest Attracts Wiener Dogs from Mid-Atlantic to Bel Air

Dachshund enthusiasts and their beloved “wiener dogs” convened this weekend in Bel Air for an annual spring gathering to celebrate the breed.

The Mid-Atlantic Doxie Fest, held at Harford County Equestrian Center, brought together a host of pooches for wiener dog races, a costume contest, doggie photo booth and lots of dachshund merchandise. There were also adoptable dogs on-site.

Proceeds from Doxie Fest benefited Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue, a national organization dedicated to helping the breed, which reported wiener dogs traveled to Bel Air for Saturday’s event from as far away as Maine.
