Dr. Ronald Noboru Sakamoto, 60, Of Joppa

Dr. Ronald Noboru Sakamoto, 60, of Joppa, passed away on April 9, 2018. Born in Minatuku, Tokyo, he was the son of Harold Kazuto and Hiroko (Shigekawa) Sakamoto.

He was a well respected-doctor at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for over 20 years, and before that he was at Fallston General and University of Maryland.

He was loved dearly by his children and step-children and adored by his grandchildren. Ron and Thelma were blessed to have enjoyed three years of marriage together.

Ron enjoyed fishing and going to the gun range with his children along with many other activities. Ron also loved his cats and dogs.

In addition to his father, Dr. Sakamoto is survived by wife Thelma E. Sakamoto, stepmother, Evelyn Sakamoto; two sons, Daniel Sakamoto and Austin J. Sakamoto; two daughters, Rachel Sakamoto and Mary Sakamoto; step-daughter, Terri L. Bellflowers-DeBord; step-son, Bryan L. Bellflowers; granddaughter, Kahlan G. DeBord; two grandsons, Bowen E. DeBord and Benjamin W. DeBord; and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles. Dr. Sakamoto will be greatly missed by all those that loved him dearly.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at McComas Funeral Home, P.A. (Abingdon), 1317 Cokesbury Road Abingdon, MD 21009. There will be a service at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the location.
