DUI Checkpoint On Tap In Harford County

HARFORD COUNTY, MD - The Harford County Sheriff's Office will conduct a checkpoint to ensure that people are not driving while intoxicated (DWI) this week. The sheriff's office announced the initiative would take place during the evening hours of Friday, July 21.

By law, the sheriff's office has to make public that it will be holding the checkpoint.

The Supreme Court ruled in a case concerning the 4th and 14th Amendments that citizens' rights to security against unlawful search and seizure are not violated if the checkpoint is publicized in advance.
