MARYLAND — A couple of restaurants have made the news recently and are worth checking out. Volcano Hot Pot will be opening in White Marsh, filling the vacancy left by brick oven pizza eatery Bertucci's.

Food writers for the DC Eater site included one Montgomery County establishment on a list of Hottest New Restaurants in the D.C. area, and Solaire Social is on that list. Plus, a popular Baltimore TV anchor says farewell.

For more than 30 years, Clagett Farm in Prince George's County has grown fresh organic produce for Marylanders to enjoy through both a summer CSA and a new winter CSA.

Longtime MD News Anchor To Leave Station In Late July

Longtime news anchor Vic Carter will leave WJZ on July 25. Carter announced the news Monday after 29 years at the Baltimore TV station. He is currently a lead anchor for WJZ's 4, 6 and 11 p.m. broadcasts.

Hot pot customers cook their own food at their table. Patrons choose from seven soup bases, ranging from spicy to miso, and boil their protein in the broth. Guests can also make their own sauces.
