Edgewood Resident Charged In Connection To Shooting Of Harford County Man: Police
An Edgewood man faces charges in the non-fatal shooting of a fellow Edgewood resident, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — An Edgewood man has been arrested and charged in connection to a non-fatal shooting that happened July 2 in Harford County.
Harford County Sheriff's Office detectives said William Thomas Geary Jr., 20, was involved in an altercation with Umi Tor Adams, 24, of Edgewood on July 2. The altercation happened in the area of Candlewood Drive and Candlewood Court in Edgewood and quickly escalated, detectives said, leading to Geary being shot in the upper body.
Deputies were called to the scene and found Geary with a gunshot wound in the upper body. They began lifesaving measures until medics arrived and took over. Geary was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

On July 3, an arrest warrant was obtained by detectives charging Adams with attempted first-degree murder. He was taken into custody July 10.
