Edgewood Stabbing: Woman Charged With Attempted Murder

The victim and suspect knew one another, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

EDGEWOOD, MD - A woman has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses after authorities said she stabbed a man in Edgewood Wednesday night. The two knew one another and were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated before 10 p.m., according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, authorities reported. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Lessie Davis, 23, was taken into custody at the scene when deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Fisherman Lane at 9:56 p.m., officials said.

Davis, whose address is listed in court records as the 800 block of Fisherman Lane, was charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Authorities noted she had drugs on her when taken into custody.

Davis was being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.
