Edmund Robinson Scarborough, Jr., 88, of Bel Air, passed away on March 8, 2018, at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air. Born in Fallston, he was the son of Edmund Robinson and Mabel Louise (Amrein) Scarborough.
Born and raised in Harford County all of his life, he was a farmer until he became an engineer for the state of Maryland. He was a lifetime member of the Bel Air Lions Club, never missing a meeting in 50 years. He was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church for many years, attending St. Alban's Episcopal Church most recently. He was an avid woodworker, making all sorts of things after his retirement, and he adored and loved his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Edmund is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, whom he was married to for 66 years; three sons, Edmund (Kathy) R. Scarborough of Fallston, William Carroll Scarborough of Pensacola, Florida, John (Lisa) R. Scarborough of Bel Air; brother, Nathan Richard Scarborough of Fallston; grandchildren, Billy, Eddie, Scott, Joshua, T.J., Kristopher, Brittany and Patrick ; and great-granddaughter, Emmy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Jean Tyler.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 16, at McComas Funeral Home (Bel Air), 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1 St. Mary's Church Road, Abingdon, MD 21009.
The cemetery will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Church Cemetery, 1 St. Mary's Church Road, Abingdon, MD 21009.
