Electric Stove Sparks Kitchen Fire In Frostburg Home: MD State Fire Marshal
A malfunctioning electric stove ignited a fire in the kitchen of a Frostburg home. No one was injured and two dogs escaped safely.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD —A cooking stove experienced an electrical malfunction and sparked a fire Saturday shortly after 11 a.m. at a Frostburg home.
The fire broke out in the kitchen of a unit in a two-story apartment building located at 22 Chestnut Street. Damage has been estimated at $20,000.
More than two dozen firefighters from the Frostburg Fire Department fought the fire that took about 10 minutes to control. The fire was discovered by a neighbor.

According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, two dogs that were inside the home at the time of the fire escaped without injury.
