Exploring the Use of Seclusion, Exclusion and Restraint Procedures in Schools: Harford County Special Education Citizens’ Advisory Committee (SECAC) welcomes Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) Donna Riley next Thursday, September 20th, to speak on this controversial topic at our first monthly meeting of the new school year. Do you have a school-aged child or teen with special needs and behavioral challenges? Do you have questions or concerns about how school staff responds to his or her problem behaviors? If so, please plan to attend this highly informational presentation to learn more about special education policies and procedures that have been designed to help keep your child or teen safe at school. We will meet in the HCPS Board Room, A.A. Roberty Building, 102 South Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, MD, from 6:30-8:15pm. All parents/caregivers, HCPS staff and community service providers are invited to attend. For more information, please call us at 410.588.5246 or e-mail us at comments@harfordsecac.com.
