Explosion At TIC Gums, No Injuries: Harford Emergency Officials

BELCAMP, MD — Emergency officials say they are at the scene of an explosion Wednesday afternoon at TIC Gums in Belcamp.

The explosion occurred inside a hopper at the plant in the 4600 block of Richlynn Drive, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

At 4:19 p.m., she said that crews responded to the incident and after 4:45 p.m. had determined there was no threat to the community. All employees were accounted for at TIC Gums, Chenworth said.
