Faith Fest Planned In Bel Air

The free Catholic music festival features family friendly activities as well as opportunities to practice faith.

BEL AIR, MD — A Catholic music festival sponsored by several parishes in the region is coming to Bel Air this weekend. Faith Fest is a free event at the Harford County Equestrian Center, offering a host of activities — from a rock climbing wall to a petting zoo to "Dunk a Seminarian."

Several musical acts are slated to perform; see the list below.

Other activities include a zip-line, obstacle course, adoration, reconciliation and rosary.

Faith Fest will conclude with Archbishop William E. Lori celebrating mass, followed by a fireworks show.

More than 2,000 people have registered to attend the inaugural event, organizers said Thursday. Registration is encouraged so organizers can plan accordingly.

  • 7 p.m. Mass by Archbishop William E. Lori followed by a fireworks display

Multiple parishes are sponsoring Faith Fest: Church of the Holy Spirit (Joppa), Prince of Peace (Edgewood), St. Francis de Sales (Abingdon), St. Ignatius (Hickory), St. Joan of Arc (Aberdeen), St. John the Evangelist (Hydes), St. Margaret (Bel Air), St. Mark (Fallston), St. Mary of the Assumption (Pylesville), St. Patrick (Havre de Grace) and St. Stephen (Bradshaw).

Faith Fest will be from 2:30-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Harford Equestrian Center, 608 North Tollgate Road. Admission is free.
