Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride Set for Saturday
Hundreds are expected to pay tribute to fallen officers in Harford County this weekend.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Roads in Harford County will be teeming this weekend with motorcycles and other vehicles making a 40-mile ride to honor fallen officers.
This year marks the fourth annual Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride, which pays tribute to those who have lost their lives.
The ride began in 2012, after Harford County lost five law enforcement officers, some within days of one another, according to event organizers. The first ride drew 500 people.

This year, two deputies from the Harford County Sheriff's Office—Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey and Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon—died in the line of duty on Feb. 10.
The Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride event will be on Saturday, June 18. The route begins at Mountain Christian Church at 10 a.m. at 1824 Mountain Road in Joppa and concludes at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson at 4600 Thunder Court in Darlington. There will be live music from noon to 4 p.m. at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson, plus food vendors.

Harford County officials advise the following roads will be closed temporarily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.:
- US 1 (Conowingo Road) will be closed between MD 136 (Whiteford Road) and MD 623 (Castleton Road)
- Thunder Court
- MD 623 between US 1 and Thunder Court
- MD 165 (Baldwin Mill Road) between MD 152 (Mountain Road) and MD 23 (East-West Highway)
- MD 152 between Jerusalem Road and MD 165
- MD 136 (Whiteford Road) between MD 24 (Rocks Road) and US 1
- MD 24 between MD 23 and MD 136
- MD 23 between MD 165 and MD 24
All types of vehicles are welcome to participate, from Jeeps and motorcycles to trucks, cars and hot rods.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online or at Chesapeake Harley-Davidson and AutoPros of Aberdeen before the event. On the day of the ride, people can buy tickets at Mountain Christian Church starting at 8 a.m. All money from the event goes to the families of fallen Harford County officers.
