Fallston Man Killed in Harford Road Hit-and-Run: Police

Police said pedestrian was walking behind a snow blower and Jeep Cherokee appeared to lose control.

Authorities are asking for help identifying the driver of a Jeep Cherokee that fatally hit a Fallston man Thursday night as he was walking behind a snow blower on Harford Road, according to Maryland State Police.

Christian J. Widomsky, 44, of the 2800 block of Harford Road, had borrowed his neighbor’s snow blower and was walking behind it on the shoulder of Harford Road when he was struck by a vehicle that neighbors said appeared to lose control and hit him from behind, police reported.

After the Jeep hit Widomsky, it continued heading north on Harford Road toward MD Route 152, police said.

Widomsky was taken to Upper Chesapeake, where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.

At approximately 7 p.m., police were dispatched to the hit and run in the 2800 block of Harford Road and learned witnesses had a description of the suspect vehicle but not the suspect, the report said.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as follows, according to police:

  • Dark-colored Jeep Cherokee
  • Dark flared fenders
  • Silver push bumper
  • Equipped with lift kit (so it sits higher off the road than regular Jeep Cherokees)
