Fallston Middle School teacher Joan Kahoe Haggerty, 46, of the 600 block of Bournebouth Court in Bel Air, will serve 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to drinking and driving charges, according to Explore Harford.
Haggerty is an English teacher at Fallston Middle, and on the night she was pulled over, "her alcohol level was .10 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath," Explore Harford reported. The state limit is .08.
According to the report, Haggerty's jail sentence will begin Jan. 7 and be served on weekends. Upon completing her sentence, she will serve three years of probation.

The sentencing stems from Nov. 27, 2009 when Haggerty was stopped near Amyclae Drive on Maryland Route 543, according to Explore Harford.
