Fallston Woman Found Deceased: Sheriff

FALLSTON, MD — A missing Fallston woman has been found deceased, officials say. Her body was found in a search of a wooded area on Monday, June 3, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Susan Schley, 56, had last been seen at 10 a.m. on Sunday at her home on Buell Drive in Fallston, officials reported.

"It is with heavy hearts we update you to let you know Sue Schley was located this afternoon after a search of a wooded area in Fallston," the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Monday.

"While the official cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, we are not investigating this as a criminal act and no foul play is suspected," the statement said. "This was not the outcome any of us wanted, but we are hopeful that this will bring the family closure. Thank you for all your thoughts and shares. Please respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time."

PREVIOUS REPORT (EXPIRED) — A woman is missing in Harford County, and her family is concerned about her well-being, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. She was last seen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 2.

Susan Schley, 56, was wearing blue capri pants with sandals and a black blouse when she was last seen, officials reported. Schley is described as 5-feet-5-inches tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

She disappeared from her home on Buell Drive in Fallston, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. She may be driving a green 2015 Subaru Forester with license plate 6BM0667.

She is a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, WBAL reported.
