Fatal Abingdon Crash Involved Two Houses: Sheriff

Investigators said an Abingdon woman died in a rollover crash in a residential area Saturday.

ABINGDON, MD — A woman died when her vehicle crashed into a house in Abingdon Saturday afternoon, officials said. The fatal crash happened at 2:51 p.m., according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Erica Marie Rohal, 34, of Abingdon, was pronounced deceased soon after deputies arrived in the 200 block of Kensington Parkway, officials.

Rohal had been driving west on Kensington Parkway when officials said her 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe hit a parked vehicle, two houses and several objects before overturning and coming to rest on its roof.

She was wearing a seat belt, investigators said.

Nobody else was injured in the crash, and a building inspector later determined the residences were safe for occupancy, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers are still investigating what caused the collision.

Rohal's body was taken the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine whether a medical condition, drugs or alcohol were factors in the fatal collision.
