Festival at Bel Air Hosts 2016 Halloween Parade

BEL AIR, MD — This year marks the 28th annual Halloween costume parade at the Festival at Bel Air.

The free event is family friendly, offering draws for both children and parents.

There will be goodie bags for trick-or-treaters as well as discounts from businesses at the shopping center. Participating merchants will feature a poster (see picture at the end of the article) in the window to let people know they are offering candy and coupons.

Here is the full schedule for the Festival's Halloween extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 29:

  • 11:15 a.m. — Trick or treating begins
  • 11:15 a.m. to noon — Costume contest
  • 2 p.m. — Trick or treating ends

The grand prize in the costume contest is $150 in gift certificates. The second-place winner will receive $100 in gift certificates, and third place will receive $75 in gift certificates. The top 10 finalists will receive prize bags.

The Festival at Bel Air is located on MD 24 at Bel Air South Parkway. The costume contest will be in the parking lot between Rite Aid and Uptown Cheapskate.
