Fire In Abingdon Reported On Rooftop
Officials say they are checking to make sure flames did not spread Wednesday night at a building in Abingdon.

ABINGDON, MD — Firefighters are responding to a one-alarm blaze Wednesday night in Abingdon, officials say. The fire broke out on the roof of a building, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which was assisting crews from the Abingdon Fire Company at the scene.
At 9:48 p.m., firefighters said they found a blaze in the 1300 block of Continental Drive.
A rooftop HVAC unit was involved in a natural gas-fed fire, officials reported.
