Fire Contained at Bel Air Goodwill: Officials

Firefighters had to air out the location, which was open at the time, officials said.

A small fire broke out at Goodwill Sunday morning in Bel Air, officials said.

At 12:12 p.m., crews were called to the 700 block of Bel Air Road/Baltimore Pike for a fire in the trash compactor at Goodwill Industries, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

The business was open at the time of the fire, which did not cause any injuries, the report said.

The fire was quickly contained, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, who reported that Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company personnel assisted.

Crews used fans to get rid of the smoke inside, according to the report.

Gardiner said a cause was not determined.
