The fire at the assisted living facility on Ring Factory Road has been ruled accidental.

BEL AIR, MD — A fire at Brightview Assisted Living in Bel Air Monday night has been ruled accidental, officials said. Nobody was injured; all residents and staff were safe, according to public safety personnel.
The fire began when an electrical outlet failed, then ignited objects, according to investigators. A fire alarm went off at 8:39 p.m., alerting emergency personnel to respond to the three-story assisted living facility.
When crews arrived at the complex in the 300 block of West Ring Factory Road, they found fire on the first floor, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company and surrounding agencies put out the fire, which Chenworth said was near the patio and kitchen areas. Approximately 20 firefighters assisted in the response, according to the fire marshal.
After putting out the fire, officials said crews cleared smoke from the first and second floors.
There was $1,000 in structural damage, according to investigators, who said nobody was injured.
A single sprinkler kept the fire from spreading, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
