Fire Burns Backyard Shed At Edgewood Home, State Fire Marshal's Office Investigating

A backyard shed located at an Edgewood home caught on fire Monday night. The fire is being investigated by state fire marshal's office.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A 20 x 10-foot wood frame shed located in the back yard of a home at 604 Harbour Oak Drive in Edgewood caught on fire Monday shortly before 8:30 p.m.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire and disclosed that it cannot rule out discarded smoking material. Ten firefighters with the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire, which they extinguished in five minutes.

The fire was discovered by a neighbor and caused $2,000 in damage.
